This course will examine the fundamental skills involved in working with a retail client. Emphasis will be placed on providing exceptional customer service throughout the customer touchpoint experience. Students will learn to process a client inquiry by navigating a tourism retail software; learn to manage relevant invoices, forms, and other documents necessary to complete the customer transaction. This course also introduces students to the legislation that governs the travel industry in Ontario and prepares them to write the TICO Education Standards Exam; a certification mandatory for anyone in Ontario engaged in selling travel services to the end customer.
