Explore exciting and inspiring world destinations with us! Learn about cultural diversity, events, festivals, natural and man-made tourist attractions and create, promote, and sell destination specific tourism products and services to Canadian travellers. This developmental course builds on the students global tourism geography knowledge and expands on the understanding of available destination resources and tourism infrastructure. To comprehend the customers buying decision, students will assess destination attributes and qualify customer motivations to successfully match traveller needs to destination offerings. Course content includes the assessment and discussion of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of tourism, including the effects on local communities, the natural environment, and cultural heritage.
