This course introduces students to writing content outside of the traditional half-hour and hour-long episodic structures to prepare them for an ever-evolving marketplace. Students learn how to write and pitch for such formats as audio dramas, sketch comedy, made-for-TV movies and feature films. By analyzing story structure, budgetary parameters and genre and format expectations, students create projects that can provide entry-level professional writing opportunities.
