In this course, students will engage in the full creative process involved in proposing an independent body of work for final presentation and inclusion in personal portfolios. Utilizing creative problem-solving skills, personal time management, workflow development, collective critique, and mentorship, students will participate in industry-guided practices for artists working toward exhibitions, commissions, and public art opportunities. Students will identify a faculty/artist mentor to provide in-process support and will demonstrate the full creative process from ideation, visualization, structural development, composition, documentation, and final realization.
