Diversity and Marginalization in Victimology

In this course students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to provide trauma-informed services to victims. They will interrogate the complexities of diversity from both personal and professional perspectives, focusing especially on marginalized individuals and Indigenous, Black and racialized communities. By engaging in critical analysis of fundamental concepts such as identity, equity, anti-oppression, intersectionality and reflective practice, students will develop the ability to work effectively with all populations requiring victim services programs.
