Programs providing support to individuals, families, and communities who have experienced victimization have a responsibility to balance and integrate ethical, evidence-informed, effective, and people-centred approaches to service provision with social and economic realities, priorities, and limitations. Through an exploration of the principles of trauma-informed service delivery, needs assessments, community collaboration, individualization of interventions, system strengths and limitations, and approaches to evaluation, students will learn about designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating trauma-informed programs and services.
