This course will introduce students to unique opportunities that respond with agility to changes in the industry. Students will produce educational modules about a Virtual Production role they have held last term, aimed at promoting their skillset and extending their portfolio content. Students will visit VP studios on Tech Demos, to integrate with industry and compare different set ups, as they prepare to enter the professional industry. Students will hear from guest speakers including senior VP professionals in the creative, technical and business areas of the industry. Students will be taught about applied research and virtual production. The course will offer students specialized and strategic industry-approved training for securing entry-level assistant opportunities at local companies. Students will help plan an event that introduces them to VP industry and showcases their work. Students will engage in reflective assignments that help produce further portfolio assets that contribute to their career development and success.
