Field Experience - Tourism Travel Service Management

The course provides practical experiences for students to apply previous learning at an approved Tourism partner. The field experience will present the student with the opportunity to train in a broad range of leading travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators and tourist boards. Field experiences differ due to the type of company and offers students hands-on practical and experiential learning experience working both individually and collaboratively in a real workplace environment. The field experience encourages students to apply skills and implement knowledge learned in the classroom and to meet the needs of the current workplace. Students will have an industry professional as their mentor and be provided with a practical, applied and experiential learning opportunity. The field experience requires students to work a minimum of a 16 hours per week for 14 weeks.
