WRIT 121 focuses on the critical thinking, reading, and writing skills required by students for success in their program of study at Humber, as well as in preparation for their professional nursing workplaces. The course introduces students to conventional academic skills, such as summarizing, formatting, and text analysis, alongside practical skills for employment application, such as incident description, problem/solution identification, and policy development/evaluation. Students will learn about and apply fundamental research skills relevant to the healthcare profession, as well as learn to communicate clearly, accurately, and objectively with consideration for purpose and audience.
