Pre-requisite: MEL. 470 Advanced Contemporary Improvisation 3
This course is a continuation of MEL.470 and is also geared to the advanced jazz improviser. It will continue with the advanced harmonic, melodic and rhythmic material studied in Mel.470. The music of players such as Lennie Tristano, Dave Holland, Richie Beirach, Dave Liebman and John Coltrane will be studied.
