In this course, students will investigate challenging communication problems that require collecting information, solving problems and making decisions. A continuation of the studies begun in DMAS 111 English 1, this course develops students' skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing at a more advanced level. Focus is placed on the forms, conventions and strategies of written and oral communication in the context of the workplace. Note: DMAS 211 is not recognized as a General Education credit by Humber.
