In this introductory course, students examine offers students information and insights into the hospitality and tourism programs. Analysis is conducted on the five sectors of the industry and their interrelationships to determine career opportunities, how these sectors meet the motivations, needs and expectations for the guests and the tourism host. Students will be able to determine the five criteria of successful tourism destination planning and management. Students actively participate in an informative, interactive lecture format, learning through active participation via clicker use and interactive hospitality software.
