Academic Year
During this internship course, the student will complete a work placement in an approved broadcast media department. The student will be treated as an employee and will be expected to comply with company and industry requirements. In addition to practising broadcast skills in a real environment, the student will start to build the professional relationships needed to develop a personal network.
The internship program is a 160 hour apprenticeship. Internship requirements and expectations are outlined in the Radio Broadcasting Internship Handbook. Either the co-ordinator or the internship committee will work with the student to help secure a placement within a radio station or an associated industry. Students and internships sponsors are asked to register at coop.humber.ca.
