This is an intermediate design course that builds on the prerequisite course INDU 906 SolidWorks Introduction . Advanced modelling and sketching techniques will be covered such as: lofting, sweeping, surfacing, sheet metal, weldments, and 3D sketching. Top-down design (creating parts in context of an assembly), advanced mates and other more advanced assembly topics are covered. Drawing automation topics such as: automatic bills of materials, creating templates and using custom properties will also be covered.
