This course provides an overview of training and development as a key managerial activity. The course demonstrates how training and development plays a key role in helping companies deal with competitive challenges by improving individual and group performance and organizational effectiveness. The student is introduced to current issues in training and development, as well as develops an understanding of the major elements of training and development. This includes needs analysis, program design, program development, training methods, and program assessment.

Please note that students who choose to take an online section of this course must write the final exam in person (either at the Humber North or Lakeshore campus, or (if located more than 100km from the campus) through an approved proctoring facility. Any costs associated with this are the sole responsibility of the student.
