Moving HTML Pages from Blackboard Original to Ultra

In this document, you will learn how to move your HTML pages (.html files and associated files) from Original to Ultra.  

NOTE: These instructions apply to .html files that were added in Blackboard Original as Files and not Items or Blank Pages that have embedded HTML using the Source code function in the content editor. If you are unsure of what this means, see the following FAQ page (Question #4): Frequently Asked Questions about HTML in Blackboard Ultra 

To Copying HTML Pages One Learning Module at a Time:

  1. Navigate to one of the Learning Modules or Folders that you’d like to copy.
  2. Click the arrow beside the Learning Module/Folder title and click Copy.

  3. In the Destination Course dropdown, find the Ultra shell that you’d like to copy to.
  4. In the Destination Folder field, click Browse and then the ROOT folder.

  5. Ensure that under File Links, the option to “Include links and make copies of attached and embedded files” is selected. 
  6. Click Submit.

To Move HTML Pages in Deeply Nested Folders (More Than Two Folder Levels:                                   

Deeply nested folders refers to more than 2 folder levels in a course. If you are unsure of what this means, see this guide: Deeply Nested Folders 

  1. Navigate to your HTML pages in the course (not the Content Collection). 
  2. In the breadcrumbs at the top of the page, go back 2 folder levels at the most.

  3. Click the arrow beside the Learning Module/Folder title and click Copy.

  4. In the Destination Course dropdown, find the Ultra course that you’d like to copy to. 
  5. In the Destination Folder field, click Browse and then the ROOT folder.

  6. Ensure that under File Links, the option to “Include links and make copies of attached and embedded files” is selected. 
  7. Click Submit.
