Mashups is a Blackboard term that refers to posts with elements from two or more sources. Mashups are a quick way to insert content from some popular external websites. Refer to Humber Libraries Copyright guidelines and resources when choosing and citing this content. Mashups currently available include:
- Flickr Photo: Link to a site for viewing and sharing photographic images.
- SlideShare: Link to a site for viewing and sharing PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, or Adobe PDF Portfolios.
- YouTube: Link to a site for viewing and sharing online videos from YouTube’s platform.
- Panopto Video: Link to Humber’s video streaming platform.
To insert a Mashup:
- Navigate to the content area where you want to place the Mashup.
- Select Build Content and, under the Mashups area, select the type of Mashup you want.
- Use the Search and Keywords fields to locate the content you want to insert.
- From the list of items, select the desired item.
- Make any required modifications to the available options and select Submit.
Note: Mashups can also be added to Blackboard Items (Create Content>Item) by using the Add Content tool .
