There is no doubt that we live in a remarkable era of change. Facing unique challenges and previously unthinkable opportunities. How do we design effective ways to navigate these futures? Design for social innovation helps you establish a framework to today’s complex social problems. Using a human-centred, design thinking process, you will work in teams to investigate opportunities within the social system and formulate possible areas for intervention. You will also develop a convincing narrative to present sustainable solutions for social impact.

  • Take on a complex social problem facing society from a systems thinking approach;
  • Recognize opportunities to intervene in already existing systems;
  • Understand the value and importance of human-centred design in social systems;
  • And more!

What will you be able to do after this course?

  • Communicate recommendations to improve complex social systems;
  • Understand how to use a systemic design framework;
  • Work within a group to design and co-create ideas.
