International Teaching Effectiveness Certificate

Humber’s International Teaching Effectiveness Certificate is a 42-hour hands-on teacher training program that allows internationally trained teaching professionals to build their skills in the delivery of student-centred teaching and learning. Participants will explore teaching theories and applications in the design of curriculum and assessment that enable students to develop their discipline expertise as well as their critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills. Through interactive sessions, individual mentoring and an online community of practice, this program enables teachers to build their skills as scholar-practitioners, innovators and researchers.

ITEC is an experientially-focused course which includes foundational, hands-on workshops focused on 21st century pedagogy and technology.

Successful completion of ITEC provides participants with advanced standing to participate in Humber’s SEDA and STLHE recognized Teaching Effectiveness Certificate by completing another 30 hrs of coursework delivered online. Note: There is an additional tuition cost for this coursework.
