Select "Events Module" from the side menu, not "Events (Humber Today)".
Choose your Faculty/Department feed from the "Name" list to View Categories, Edit or Delete your events.
Add or Edit an Event
Choose "View Categories" to enter your feed.
Choose "View Events" from the Category you require.
Choose to either "Edit" or "Add Event".
Add Event
Once you have selected "Add Event" go through the prompts on the page to ensure you have an understanding of the information required.
Add Image
If you would like your event to have a specific image, click the select file button.
Uploading an image is optional. If no image is chosen a Humber default image will go in its place.
Add Descriptions
Add a "Short Description" that will show before the event text is cut off. This is needed to save the event. 150 characters max
Add a "Long Description" if the event has more than 150 characters.
If a "Custom Template" is being used to add a link then the long description is not needed as it will not show.
Add Custom Template
Choose "Custom" from the template dropdown.
Add "Custom Url" to where you want the event to link.
Choose type of "Custom Url Button" from the dropdown.
A "Custom Template" is only needed if a link is being added to the event.
Add Date/Time
Add a "Start/End Date" if the event runs for specific dates.
Add "Start/End Time" if the event is running for a specific period of time.
The "Start Date" is needed to save the event. The "Start Time, End Time and End Date" are all optional. Using the "End Date" will cause the event to be archived after that date.
How to Publish/Unpublish an Event
Add a "Publish" date when you would like the event to be published.
Add a "Unpublish" date if you want the event unpublished on a certain date. Leave the "Unpublish" box empty if you would like the event to stay up.
How to Add a Category
Choose "View Categories" to enter your feed.
Choose to either "Add Category" or "Edit Category".
Previewing the Event
Use Cache Bypass to view the event in the Event Feed as the Humber site can take up to one hour to cache.
