Support Staff Training
We recognize the value and contribution that our support staff bring in maintaining our services and operations and supporting our students, clients, and the community.
Humber supports their development by providing a minimum of three (3) days training specifically developed for support staff. This training typically occurs during the Winter Reading Week and offers training options that develop key work-related skills, promote wellness and well-being, and emphasize personal development and effectiveness.

Dr. Billan is the President and CEO of Viewpoint Leadership Inc. and an expert on Psychological Capital. She completed her PhD at OISE, University of Toronto and has designed and facilitated programs, courses, and training sessions across industries and sectors.

Cyndie’s journey started as a player, competing in water polo before moving behind the beach as a Head Coach of over 100 teams including the Canadian Junior Women’s National Team, which was ranked among the top 5 through two world championship cycles. Cyndie’s national talent development program that saw 60% of her players go on to Olympic competition.

Diana has worked in the teaching and health care sector for over 30 years. Her helping work began as an early childhood educator, nurturing children and their families to reach their fullest potential.
Over the course of her career, she has worked in emergency department crisis teams, coordinated hospital based sexual assault/domestic violence treatment programs, which involved assisting individuals experiencing a current crisis, counselling those who have been traumatized by violence, and teaching a variety of professionals how to do their work effectively while staying healthy themselves.
Randi-Mae Standford-Leibold, RSW

Randi-Mae Stanford-Leibold is an author, mindfulness facilitator and
a professional speaker. Randi-Mae is the founder of Mindful Living Barbados, an annual wellness event that invites people to meditate, learn, grow and align as they nurture their mind, body and soul. She focuses on wellness in the workplace, compassion, self-care and personal development.
Randi-Mae brings a high level of vibrancy and compassion when she works with individuals, groups, and organizations. She genuinely believes that work/life integration through mindfulness and compassion can transform our wellness and health as a society.

Liz approaches health and wellness in a ‘holistic’ way – as a coach, meditation facilitator, yoga teacher and former CEO of an award-winning communications firm based in New York City. Her passion is people living their best lives. Each and every one of her experiences goes into presenting the work.
Her goal for each session is to make the content accessible and have it be impactful and leave the room a little lighter and more informed than when you started.
Gillian Mandich, PhD
Dr. Gillian Mandich has a PhD from Western University in Health Science, specializing in Health Promotion. Her primary areas of research are happiness and health, and her work combines the latest research, practical wisdom, and an engaging style to help people live happier, healthier lives.
Dr. Mandich is passionate about research. She is the founder of The International Happiness Institute of Health Science Research and is a part of the Meant2Prevent research team at SickKids.
