Description / Overview

You have already learned about the basics of backward design, and you should already have some effectively written SMART learning outcomes. Now it’s time to learn how to design assessments effectively so that you can determine how well these course goals have been met. When they will be used in an online learning environment, assessments bring with them some unique considerations, which you will learn about in this module. You will also learn about some of the unique capabilities and limitations of building assessments directly in Blackboard Ultra.

Assessment is key to determining whether course learning outcomes have been met successfully. By learning the principles of online assessment, you will learn how to build assessment that is fair to learners, accessible, and aligned with learning outcomes.
