According to CatIQ "The magnitude of catastrophic events experienced across Canada in 2024 pushed the insured loss total for the region to CAN $8.5 billion. In less than a month, Canada recorded four new top-ten costliest events: Calgary Hailstorm, Remnants of Hurricane Debby, Jasper wildfires and Southern Ontario Flooding". This specialized program created in partnership with Canada's leading restoration companies, provides learners with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to become a disaster recovery manager anywhere in Canada. It combines the foundational learning in conjunction with certified training and real-world experience needed to manage a recovery project from start to finish in compliance with industry standards.
Students that complete the program will receive:
A Professional Learning Certificate as a Disaster Recovery Manager from Humber Polytechnic
Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT) Certification from IICRC
Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification from IICRC
Xactimate Level 1 Training from Verisk
Exposure to other key industry technology

The program has several scholarships to recognize students’ excellence and provide program support. Once enrolled in the program students are encourage to apply for all of the scholarships.

Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT) Certification ($80.00 USD)

You are required to register for each individual course included in a CE program. You can register for a course by selecting it and following the instructions in the “How to Register” box.
Each CE program is comprised of a series of courses which may all have different fees. You are required to register for each course individually and pay the associated fees. Once you select the course, the fee is displayed in the “How to Register” box.
