Program Overview

This certificate is designed for experienced professionals, those already in the field who wish to improve their communication skills, and individuals interested in entering the business environment. In today's business world, effective communication is vital to success: yours and your organizations. Successful managers communicate clearly, accurately and effectively.

Poor communication skills, on the other hand, often restrict otherwise talented people from getting ahead in the business world. This certificate is designed to provide you with the skills needed to become an effective communicator. You will develop and enhance your written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as your presentation techniques to ensure success in any business environment.

The certificate requires the successful completion of six online courses. All classes are online providing students with flexibility in their learning.

Additional Information

Students who have completed WRIT 200 or ESOL 200 will be exempted from COM 101. 

Completion of COM 123 and COM 129 will also count towards the course requirements of the Writing for Professionals Certificate.

Courses in this certificate do not qualify for English or General Elective credit in diploma/degree programs.

How to Register

You are required to register for each individual course included in a CE program. You can register for a course by selecting it and following the instructions in the “How to Register” box.

Fees

Each CE program is comprised of a series of courses which may all have different fees. You are required to register for each course individually and pay the associated fees. Once you select the course, the fee is displayed in the “How to Register” box.
