Business Management

Diploma

Program Code: 02251

Campus: North, Online, Lakeshore

Length: 4 semesters

The Business Management diploma is designed for students who want desirable skills and business experiences they can apply immediately— whether they are new to business, changing careers, building a business or advancing in their current role.

In the ever-changing global learning environment, this flexible diploma program is delivered full-time and part-time, either in-person or online (synchronous and asynchronous).

The program builds core capability across management, marketing, operations, finance and entrepreneurship within Canada’s evolving business environment. Students develop a strong understanding of how organizations operate while gaining the skills needed to make informed decisions, manage people, and contribute to business performance.

Courses are taught by experienced professionals and entrepreneurs and emphasize real-world business scenarios through hands-on projects, business simulations and opportunities to participate in managing real businesses. These experiences ensure students graduate with more than theory—they graduate with confidence and practical experience.

The program connects learning world-wide in the most active and diverse business markets, preparing students for employment and entrepreneurial opportunities locally and beyond.

In the final semester, students complete a required 84-hour work-integrated learning (WIL) experience that connects classroom learning directly to real business practice. With support from a dedicated field placement advisor, students secure a paid or unpaid opportunity aligned with their career interests and professional goals.

More than 15,000 Business Management graduates have gained hands-on experience through WIL, building industry connections and launching careers with leading organizations such as Google, Deloitte, Nike, Bell, BMO, Disney, Canadian Tire, and more — across over 25,000 placement and job opportunities available through Humber industry partnerships. For students who are already working in a related business field, current employment may be eligible to count toward the required WIL hours, allowing working professionals to integrate their existing experience into the program while continuing to advance their careers.
