If you’ve got a passion for golf and a head for business, this program will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to tee off into the career of your dreams.

Our program serves as your gateway to the golf industry, and we’ll connect you with our extensive network of industry professionals to help you discover and pursue a career path you’re passionate about. Our students have two six-month paid co-op field placements, providing valuable real-world experience. 

Students in our program benefit from hands-on experience with cutting-edge golf technology, software, and equipment in our state-of-the-art Golf Lab. Guided by industry professionals and PGA of Canada members, our students receive expert coaching, club fitting, and swing analysis.

In our program, you will learn from leading experts in the golf industry who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skills to inspire and educate you. Among our esteemed instructors is Bob Beauchemin, a Golf Ontario Hall of Fame member, former PGA Tour professional, former Canadian Tour Commissioner, and one of the National Post’s Top 50 golf instructors in Canada. Our program is continuously refined by an advisory committee of top industry professionals, ensuring it remains at the forefront of golf education

Our program is officially recognized by the PGA of Canada. As a partner program, it offers students the opportunity to earn equivalency credits toward achieving Class “A” status with the PGA of Canada.

Upon completing their Business Diploma, our students have pathways to receive advanced standing into Business Degree programs.

Please note: There is no minimum golf skill level required for admission into the program.

Our

Our program features a unique 6-month in-class/6-month paid field experience schedule, the only one of its kind in Canada. This structure allows you to complete two paid 6-month work terms, making you highly attractive to employers seeking skilled and experienced golf management professionals. The hands-on field experience enhances the knowledge and skills gained in the classroom.

Admission Requirements

Admission selection is based on the following 3 requirements:

    Academic

    To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

    • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses: 
      • Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent) 
      • Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U) or Grade 11 M or U Mathematics (MCF3M or MCR3U) 
      • Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C,M or U courses in addition to those listed above

    Mature Applicants

    Diplomas and Certificates

    An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or other postsecondary school, and will be 19 or older as of the first day of classes. Humber will invite you for testing to demonstrate that you meet all listed course requirements.

    Degrees

    An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or attended postsecondary studies, and will be 21 or older as of the first day of classes. Mature applicants for degree programs will be required to meet course requirements at the U/M level or equivalent.

    College Transfer Applicants

    Diplomas and Certificates

    An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Humber may use a combination of secondary school and/or college courses and grades to determine program eligibility.

    Degrees

    An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Applicants must have an overall minimum grade point average (GPA) of 65 per cent in the program. Applicants are required to disclose and provide academic transcripts for all course work completed at the postsecondary level.

    All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Humber’s English Language Proficiency Policy.

    International Credit Evaluation

    Canadian citizens or permanent residents with international education are required to provide a credential evaluation. Note, for international High school education course by course evaluations, ICAS must be used. For international post-secondary education, a WES evaluation must be provided. In situations where you expect to apply for transfer credit, it is recommended that a course by course WES evaluation is completed.
