Ontario Graduate Certificate
Program Code: BD511
Campus: North
Length: 2 semesters
The Blockchain Design, Development and Integration graduate certificate program is designed to equip students with specialized knowledge and applied skills in blockchain technology, an evolving field within advanced computing with transformative potential across industries. This program responds to the increasing demand for professionals who can design, implement and manage blockchain solutions, addressing real-world challenges in areas such as finance, supply chain management, health care and digital identity.
Through a blend of theory and hands-on experience, students will gain practical expertise in decentralized systems, smart contracts, cryptographic security and distributed ledger technologies.
In alignment with industry standards and practices, students will engage with the entire lifecycle of blockchain technology—from initial concept to deployment and optimization. This includes understanding regulatory implications, ensuring cybersecurity and utilizing advanced tools and frameworks to solve practical challenges. The program will also foster critical thinking, problem-solving and ethical decision-making, preparing students for a range of blockchain-related roles in technology, consulting and beyond.
The program embeds experiential learning through a capstone project with industry partners and Hackathons that foster innovation and networking. These initiatives enable students to apply theory in real-world contexts, strengthening critical thinking, problem-solving and industry readiness.
