In today’s fast-paced business environment, organizations must stay ahead of the curve by leveraging the power of data. The ability to extract valuable insights from complex datasets is essential to making informed decisions, enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation. There is a growing demand for professionals who can not only analyze data but also apply it strategically to improve business outcomes.

Our one-year Data Analytics program, available in two delivery options: Twilight-Online or in-person, is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to succeed in the world of data-driven decision-making. Through a rigorous curriculum, students will gain practical experience in data modelling, database management, machine learning, data visualization and business operations. The program covers the entire analytics process, from gathering and managing data to applying advanced analytical techniques and presenting insights to key stakeholders.

Students will develop a strong foundation in statistical analysis, forecasting and data visualization, and gain proficiency with industry-standard tools and methodologies. Graduates will be prepared to tackle real-world challenges and deliver data-driven solutions that optimize business performance and support strategic goals.

Graduates of this program will:
• Leverage data analytics to develop actionable insights and strategies for business improvement
• Apply advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms and data visualization methods to solve complex business problems
• Communicate findings effectively to guide decision-making and drive organizational success

Admission Requirements

Admission selection is based on the following 3 requirements:

    Academic

    To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, from any discipline (business, statistics/mathematics, or computer programming is highly recommended),

    OR

    • An advanced diploma, diploma or equivalent, in a related field (business, statistics/mathematics, or computer programming)

    Mature Applicants

    Diplomas and Certificates

    An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or other postsecondary school, and will be 19 or older as of the first day of classes. Humber will invite you for testing to demonstrate that you meet all listed course requirements.

    Degrees

    An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or attended postsecondary studies, and will be 21 or older as of the first day of classes. Mature applicants for degree programs will be required to meet course requirements at the U/M level or equivalent.

    College Transfer Applicants

    Diplomas and Certificates

    An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Humber may use a combination of secondary school and/or college courses and grades to determine program eligibility.

    Degrees

    An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Humber may use a combination of secondary school and/or college courses and grades to determine program eligibility. Applicants must have an overall minimum grade point average (GPA) of 65 per cent in the program. Applicants are required to disclose and provide academic transcripts for all course work completed at the postsecondary level.

    University Transfer Applicants

    International Credit Evaluation

    Canadian citizens or permanent residents with international education are required to provide a credential evaluation. Note, for international High school education course by course evaluations, ICAS must be used. For international post-secondary education, a WES evaluation must be provided. In situations where you expect to apply for transfer credit, it is recommended that a course by course WES evaluation is completed.
