Web Design and Development

Certificate

Program Code: WD611

Campus: North, Downtown (IGS)

Length: 2 semesters

Humber's comprehensive Web Design and Development certificate program is designed to propel learners toward an exciting career as web designer and developers. In this intensive one-year program, students will build the essential skills needed to analyze problems, plan solutions and build robust websites that meet today's evolving demands. Using the most up-to-date techniques and technology to create sites and apps from the ground up, learners will tackle technical challenges by developing strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Our project-based approach leads students through the complete process of creating websites and web applications, from building static websites utilizing the most current versions of industry-standard tools to programming dynamic, data-driven websites. Each course is taught by experienced instructors, with a focus on following established industry standards that include designing mobile-ready, accessible, future-proof websites and apps.

With conveniently scheduled classes and a streamlined two-semester format, this program offers the flexibility to balance studies with work and personal commitments.

This program is eligible for Better Jobs Ontario funding. Further details and how to apply are found at Better Jobs Ontario. While it is not eligible for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), it is considered a full-time program and could be eligible for other educational funding and tax credit options.
