You don’t have to live in the wilderness to appreciate how important trees are to our environment and wellbeing. Help maintain a healthy, sustainable urban forest ecosystem working as an arborist:
Many employers are looking for well-trained tree workers with strong demand for tree climbers in particular. With our program, you will learn how to work safely and keep trees healthy under the unique working conditions of the urban landscape. Graduates have a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of urban tree care including tree climbing, pruning, rigging, aerial rescue, chainsaw maintenance and use, teamwork, and safety.

Current students, please make sure to review your MyHumber Academic Progress report to confirm which courses you should register into for your Winter semester. Courses with in-person requirements will likely also have online components. An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or other postsecondary school, and will be 19 or older as of the first day of classes. Humber will invite you for testing to demonstrate that you meet program eligibility.
An applicant is considered a mature applicant if they have not completed secondary school or attended postsecondary studies, and will be 21 or older as of the first day of classes. Mature applicants for degree programs will be required to meet course requirements at the U/M level or equivalent.
An applicant is considered a college transfer applicant if they have completed some or all of a college-level credential. Humber may use a combination of secondary school and/or college courses and grades to determine program eligibility.

$1,200 - study materials, personal protective equipment (PPE) and small tools. Transportation to and from off-campus work sites, within or in the vicinity of the Greater Toronto Area is the responsibility of the student.
