The event industry is a rapidly growing segment that reaches across all personal and professional realms, from private parties and weddings to non-profit and corporate events. Graduates of our program have a variety of potential career options available such as entry-level positions as:
Graduates work in the fields of arts and culture; entertainment; sports and recreation; hospitality and travel; meeting and convention planning; municipal, provincial and federal governments; not-for-profit and charitable organizations; trade shows and expositions; and wedding and special event planning.
Our program is one of the most comprehensive available, with classes taught by industry-experienced faculty and a work placement providing you with the essential skills you need to succeed in the event management world.
Gain hands-on experience in the industry with a 160-hour (minimum) work placement that will give you the opportunity to apply in a real business what you have learned in the classroom. Students initiate the placement with the aid of faculty, targeting companies in the Greater Toronto Area.
Placements can be completed on a part-time basis throughout the academic year or full time once classes finish.
