Advertising - Art Direction

Ontario Graduate Certificate

Program Code: AD511

Campus: Lakeshore

Length: 3 semesters

So, you want to work in advertising ... as an art director, copywriter, or account manager. Where can you learn what you need to know to get into the game?

At Humber, we offer one-year Ontario Graduate Certificates in Advertising Copywriting, Account Management and Art Direction. Here you can learn the necessary skills in a new, innovative format that replicates the business you are about to enter.

Students from these three advertising disciplines take classes and work together in teams to learn every aspect of the industry. Your networking begins day one.

Just like in the real world.

The Advertising Art Direction Graduate Certificate is designed to arm you with a comprehensive understanding of advertising art direction, design and copywriting combined with marketing, branding and strategy development. This combination of skills enables students to create effective communication and advertising solutions across a wide range of media – both emerging and traditional – and build a portfolio of creative work that reflects the industry standards required for field placement and entry-level art director positions.

Students will gain practical, hands-on experience in the industry by completing a mandatory work placement following their final semester of study.
