Length: 8 semesters starting in September

There has never been a more exciting or relevant time to be a designer. Our program is designed to respond to the increasing demand for designers prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Graduates of this program will find work as design thinkers, information architects, researchers and user experience designers in fields including:

• retail service
• brand experience
• social service interactions
• health-care provision
• travel and hospitality
• financial services
• safety and security
• entertainment and leisure

This program focuses on how design thinking can be harnessed for social change, improve daily experiences, and make processes and interfaces more human-focused.

Students graduate with top-notch graphic and user design skills including visual storytelling and communication, design theory and practice, prototyping, and usability testing, acquired through classwork and a supervised work placement offered by a range of organizations including design agencies, financial services, health-care settings or service environments.

Work Placement

You will participate in a supervised work placement, spread over four semesters. Students will be able to select from a wide variety of opportunities in a range of organizations such as design agencies, financial services, health-care settings or service environments.
