Health Sector Regulatory Compliance

Ontario Graduate Certificate

Program Code: HS511

Campus: Online

Length: 3 semesters

In Humber’s Health Sector Regulatory Compliance graduate certificate, you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to audit product development, manufacturing and supply chain processes. Delivered in a hybrid format (combining online and in-class training), this program helps students determine facility operational compliance compared to regulations and standards to minimize health and business risks.

Students will demonstrate core competencies required of compliance staff who monitor the safety of various products and business processes including, but not limited to pharmaceuticals; medical devices; biological and genetic therapies; natural health, agriculture, and food products; cosmetics and toiletries; and cannabis products.

This program is not available to international applicants.

Following two academic semesters, students complete a three-month (450 hours) paid or unpaid work placement in which students apply and integrate theoretical knowledge and skills into real-world work settings. Students complement their learning in their placement, and assessments are carried out by assigned supervisors at the placement site.

Students are responsible for finding their own work placement that is aligned with the learning outcomes of the program. Humber will assist students in finding their placements by working with industry partners and identifying openings.  Students are encouraged to find a placement in their area of interest, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, natural health and food products, cosmetics, or cannabis.
