Ontario Graduate Certificate
Program Code: RM511
Campus: North
Length: 2 semesters starting in September
Radio and podcasting are thriving fields around the world. With our program behind you, you’ll have what it takes to succeed in both industries. Our graduates work as:
Students get practical experience in radio and audio production studio techniques; writing stories, shows, commercials and scripts, radio programming and promotions; interviewing techniques and through a work placement. They produce exciting audio and visual content including video and podcasts in Humber’s leading-edge production studios. Training in on-air performance is provided on Humber's campus radio station, Radio Humber 96.9FM, which is also streamed online and through various listening apps. If being on-air isn't your thing, you can opt to focus on creative studio production techniques and other aspects of on-air operations.
This program includes a work placement component to give students an opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in their area of interest in the radio and audio production industries. The 160 hour placement is done in the summer semester after two semesters of study and practice.
Current students, please make sure to review your MyHumber Academic Progress report to confirm which courses you should register into for your Winter semester. Courses with in-person requirements will likely also have online components. Humber may need to change plans for in-person learning, subject to government and public health directives and/or additional health and safety considerations.
