The COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber continue to monitor the evolving situation in the province. College staff meet regularly to discuss the pandemic, impacts on the college, and respond to the latest information from health officials. Be assured that the college will continue to prioritize the health and safety of the Humber community.
In accordance with the guidance from Canada’s public health leaders, the Humber community is encouraged to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations as they are an important tool in preventing severe infection and spread of the disease. Currently, there is no requirement for learners, employees or visitors to Humber or the University of Guelph-Humber facilities to provide proof of vaccination. There is also no active screening at campus entry points.
Everyone is encouraged to continue to complete the self-screening in the Humber Guardian app before coming to campus each time. As a reminder, if you are feeling unwell, do not come to campus.
Indoor masking on campus is a personal choice. Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber will always be caring communities and mask-friendly environments. Although the choice to wear a mask is personal, respect is mandatory, and we ask the Humber community to respectfully navigate situations one might encounter and be considerate of others’ comfort levels.
Throughout the pandemic, we have focused on creating safe places to learn, work and live. We will continue to adapt our plans, when needed, to meet that commitment.
Be well and stay safe.

The mask mandate at Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber will remain in place until May 31, 2022. The College is making this decision based on recent guidance from the Chief Medical Officer of Health and out of an abundance of caution.
Well-fitting masks that cover the nose and chin will continue to be required within any indoor college facilities.
We will continue to monitor and review the mask requirement over the coming weeks, taking public health and campus environment trends into consideration. We will provide an update by the end of May with respect to masking requirements in June and beyond. Regardless of when the mask mandate is lifted, Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber will remain a mask-friendly environment.
As previously announced, the college’s vaccination policy will be lifted on May 2 and there will not be active screening at the entry points on campus. The Humber community is encouraged to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations as an added layer of protection.
Everyone is encouraged to continue to complete the self-screening in the Humber Guardian app before coming to campus each time. As a reminder, if you are feeling unwell, do not come to campus.
Throughout the pandemic, we have focused on creating safe places to learn, work and live. We will continue to adapt our plans, when needed, to meet that commitment.
Be well and stay safe.

Dear Learners:
As we have throughout the pandemic, Humber continues to follow government and Public Health guidelines and directives and respond when there are increases in COVID-19 cases. Due to the growing dominance of the Omicron variant and recent guidance from the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health, we have made the decision to stop all in-person exams from January 4, 2022- January 23, 2022, to help curb the spread of COVID-19. Those learners who had in-person exams scheduled have been notified to confirm alternative arrangements. The Real Estate Education Programs, delivered by Humber, will continue to be held online for the foreseeable future.
Delivering Courses and assessments online for both the Real Estate Salesperson and Real Estate Broker programs means that Learners can continue to pursue their career goals during these evolving times.
We will continue to monitor any new developments and provide updates as the information becomes available.

You will only be required to complete the Vaccination Declaration Form and provide proof of vaccination* or exemption if you come to campus. You will receive the necessary forms and instructions when purchasing an in-person examination.
We are committed to keeping our students and employees connected and informed. Please return to our website, as our FAQ and COVID-19 Updates pages will continue to be updated to provide key resources and information about college initiatives and what to expect when coming to campus.
*Per our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, fully vaccinated means having received two (2) doses of a double-dose vaccine or one (1) dose of a single-dose vaccine approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization and having had the final dose at least fourteen (14) days prior.
At this time, a booster shot is not required to be considered fully vaccinated, as per Humber's policy.

Dear Real Estate Education Program Learners,
Following the July 16 provincial announcement, Humber College announced the introduction of a COVID-19 vaccination policy for students, learners, employees, contractors and any visitors to the college’s campuses or facilities. This is in addition to ongoing health and safety measures on our campuses and facilities.
Here is how the COVID-19 vaccination policy and COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration and Return to Campus Acknowledgement applies to Real Estate Education Program learners.
While the Real Estate Education programs will continue to be delivered online, limited in-person examinations at various locations are being offered. Any learner participating in an in-person examination must complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration Form prior to attending a Humber campus or facility in person.
Note: any learner who is completing a Real Estate Education program fully online does not need to complete the Vaccination Status Declaration. However, should you need to come to a Humber campus or facility, you will then need to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration Form and any other required documentation or screening questionnaire.
Scheduling an in-person examination
Once your in-person examination is scheduled, you will receive an email with instructions; followed by the Humber Vaccination Status Declaration form. Learners attending our partner College locations need to follow the host College’s protocol. Learners will receive an email providing specific instructions for those locations.
Learners scheduled for an in-person exam will receive an email from Humber College via DocuSign containing the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration and Return to Campus Acknowledgement, along with instructions for completing the form. This is a DocuSign form. Please note that you will need an Internet connection and browser to complete the form. You will not need any special software.
Learners must complete and submit the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration and Return to Campus Acknowledgement form prior to coming to Humber College.
This means declaring either:
If you indicate your status as b) or c), you will be required to provide proof of a current negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of attending campus in order to access campus, until you are fully vaccinated or have received an individualized accommodation plan through Humber’s Exemption process. Please ensure that you allow time for this process when scheduling your exam.
By October 18, all individuals coming to a Humber campus or facility in person must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated or have received an exemption, and that any accommodation(s) granted is being followed.
Details about the process for providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be shared with the Humber community by mid-to-late September.
All individuals attending a Humber campus or facility are required to complete the screening tool on the Humber Guardian app or an alternative method (i.e. a verbal screening) when attending campus in-person even when fully vaccinated.
A vaccination policy FAQ for the Humber community has been created to help provide further information and it is updated on an ongoing basis. Specifically, learners who may have questions about completing the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Declaration and in-person concerns/ attending campus should contact covidreporting@humber.ca.
Thank you for your ongoing cooperation as we continue to work to ensure a safe return to campus.
