Course 3: Facilitated Review Session (FRS)

In Course 3 Facilitated Review Sessions (FRS), learners, under the guidance of a program facilitator, will spend 9-hours covering complex topics from Course 3 eLearning modules. The Course 3 FRS will provide enhanced learning opportunities beyond the e-learning material to support learner success. Learners will apply knowledge and skills gained from the eLearning portion of the program and engage in enhanced discussions relating to other types of Residential Real Estate Transactions.

Topics include, but are not limited to, Agreement of Purchase and Sale for a resale condominium, or for a parcel of tied land (POTL) common elements condominium, drafting clauses for an Agreement of Purchase and Sale for rural properties or for multi-family dwellings.

FRS are an excellent opportunity for those seeking additional program facilitator support and is available as a non-mandatory component to Course 3.

Agenda

Session 1

In this Facilitated Review Session, we will be addressing some of the more complex and often confusing concepts drawn from the following modules:

  • Module 1: Introducing Residential Condominiums
  • Module 2: Preparing to Sell Residential Condominiums
  • Module 3: Completing Agreements of Purchase and Sale for Residential Condominiums

We will focus on types and characteristics of condominium corporations, legislation and regulations for new condominiums, key considerations for a resale condominium, the agreement of purchase and sale for a resale condominium, and the agreement of purchase and sale for a parcel of tied land (POTL) common elements condominium.

Session 2

In this Facilitated Review Session, we will be addressing some of the more complex and often confusing concepts drawn from the following modules:

  • Module 4: Transactions Involving New Construction
  • Module 5: Transactions Involving Rural Properties

We will focus on construction liens and holdbacks, new construction and due diligence, key considerations for rural properties, and clauses for the agreement of purchase and sale for rural properties.

Session 3

In this Facilitated Review Session, we will be addressing some of the more complex and often confusing concepts drawn from the following modules:

  • Module 6: Transactions Involving Residential Multi-Unit Dwellings
  • Module 7: Preparing to Lease Residential Real Properties
  • Module 9: Completing Agreements to Lease for Residential Tenancies

We will focus on key considerations, aspects, and clauses for an agreement of purchase and sale for multi-family dwellings, key regulations for leasing properties, and legal and documentation requirements.
