The Innovation Management Assessment Program (IMAP)

Strengthening the Competitiveness and Innovation Capabilities of Canadian Organizations

The Innovation Management Assessment Program (IMAP), a pilot program created by Humber College’s Office of Research & Innovation (ORI), is a human-centred, deeply collaborative process that measures and assesses data to strengthen organizations' innovation capabilities.

What makes IMAP unique?

ORI developed IMAP to improve organizations’ innovation capabilities using InnoSurvey®, a proprietary tool developed by Innovation 360 Group. This tool provides tangible insights into an organization’s products, services, and processes, highlighting strengths and gaps. This unique initiative will help organizations develop optimal innovation capabilities to strengthen their economic output, which will, in turn, contribute to Canada’s economic growth.

Why assess innovation capabilities?

The InnoSurvey® assessment helps organizations gain knowledge and insights into understanding their capacity for innovation management benchmarked against their peers globally and the top quartile (top innovators). It also provides a baseline of innovation capabilities. This will allow the organization to understand where they are to perform a gap analysis and determine why they are where they are. This provides organizations with the power to put data in context.
