The deadline for employees to submit their Fall 2025 dependent tuition applications is Friday, December 11, 2025.
Applications received after this date will still be accepted but will be considered a “late application” with extended refund processing times past the standard expected refund window.
What is the Dependent Tuition Reimbursement Benefit?
This benefit is available for Active, Permanent Full-Time Employees Only; and is for their eligible dependent(s). This financial reimbursement is provided on a semester-to-semester basis to cover a portion of the dependents’ eligible Humber/Guelph-Humber tuition fees.
How to Submit a Dependent Tuition Reimbursement Claim:
-
Please complete the Humber Dependent Tuition Reimbursements Form for review and processing by Humber Dependent Tuition Reimbursements.
-
Employees may contact tuitionreimbursements@humber.ca for further assistance.
What Happens After I Submit My Application for Reimbursement?
-
The Tuition Reimbursement Team will begin processing all applications received:
-
All Employee Full-Time statuses will be verified in the Human Resources Management System (HRMS); and then, the applications will be sent to the Office of the Registrar (OOR).
-
After confirming the dependents’ Full-Time Student status, the applications are then forwarded by the OOR to the Financial Services team for final processing and distribution of the reimbursements.
-
-
Applications, which have been received before the Fall 2025 submission deadline, are scheduled to be processed on December 17, 2025:
-
Please be advised that the standard application processing timeline is two to four weeks. However, due to the Holiday Campus closures, this standard processing timeline will be increased; and applicants may not begin to see any applicable refunds until the end of January 2026, into early February 2026.
-
Tuition Reimbursements are refunded back to your original payment methods, unless there is a balance owing to the students' financial account for future semesters.
-
If there is a balance owing to the student's Humber/Guelph-Humber financial account, the reimbursement will be credited directly to this balance owing; and not to your original method of payment.
