Recognizes and celebrates outstanding cross-collaboration across SSE departments for a specific project that involved working with units outside the recipient’s own.
SSE Synergy/Collaboration Award
Description: Recognizes and celebrates outstanding cross-collaboration across SSE departments for a specific project that involved working with units outside the recipient’s own.
Awarded to: All project/initiative team members who collaborated on the project/initiative.
Criteria: New project/initiative implemented between Apr 2024 to Mar 2025 and involve more than one team from a different SSE portfolio (e.g., collaboration between FYE and Athletics).
Recognizes a community or campus partner who has made significant collaboration and contribution to the SSE through partnership, support, and engagement.
SSE Community Champion Award
Description: Recognizes a community or campus partner who has made significant collaboration and contribution to the SSE through partnership, support, and engagement.
Awarded to: 1 community or campus partner.
Criteria: A new partnership opportunity formed between Apr 2024 to Mar 2025 and showing impact towards an SSE goal area.
Given to a staff member who has gone above and beyond to enhance and positively impact the student experience, fostering an environment of excellence and support.
SSE Unparalleled Student Experience Award
Description: Given to individual staff members who have gone above and beyond to enhance and positively impact the student experience, fostering an environment of excellence and support.
Awarded to: Individual(s) – can be faculty, support, and admin.
Criteria: Measurable impact. Exemplary efforts must have occurred between Apr 2024 to Mar 2025 and be tied to enhancing the student experience.
Recognizes an individual or team that has introduced an innovative idea or bold solution, significantly impacting the SSE and its goals.
SSE Innovation Catalyst Award
Description: Recognizes an individual or team that has introduced an innovative idea or bold solution, significantly impacting the SSE and its goals.
Awarded to: Either departments or individuals.
Criteria: A brand new initiative or solution tried between Apr 2024 to Mar 2025 resulting in data that points to positive outcomes for students.
Honours a team that has championed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and found new ways to open spaces for belonging within the Humber community.
SSE Culture of Belonging Award
Description: Honours a team that has championed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and found new ways to open spaces for belonging within the Humber community.
Awarded to: Either departments or individuals.
Criteria: Efforts towards creating belonging are being seen and align with Humber’s EDIB framework.
Celebrates an individual willing to help others, and ensures everyone on their team is set up for success if they can help it.
Team Spirit/Team Player Award
Description: Celebrates an individual who is willing to help others to ensure everyone on their team is set up for success.
Awarded to: A person from each portfolio across SSE (e.g., one individual from TAS, one from SWEL, etc.).
Criteria: Share why this person is a value add to the team culture, including stories that highlight how they help others and contribute to team success in supporting students.
