The Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre is currently accepting submissions for a new online art exhibit tentatively titled "The Aesthetics of Mental Health" curated by Arts Administration and Cultural Management student Samuel McGuire.

Artists working in all mediums that can be represented digitally are welcome to submit.

The Interpretive Centre and the Exhibit Curator are seeking artists at all stages of their career. The exhibit will showcase artistic interpretations of the evolving standards of mental health care facilities as they relate to the patient experience - drawing inspiration from the recent past of institutionalized mental health care to the evolving future of therapeutic design.

The work selected for the show will have a focus on how the design of living and recreational spaces can affect one's mental well-being. The organizers of the show are looking for artistic interpretations of these design aesthetics.

The full Call for Artists can be found online at lakeshoregrounds.ca/aesthetics-of-mental-health.

Submissions and inquiries can be sent by email to info@lakeshoregrounds.ca.

Deadline to apply is January 29, 2021 at midnight. Show will premiere online in late spring 2021.
