The SDGs Launch is bringing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to you virtually. Since 2017, the program mobilized 8,000+ students from 83 post-secondary institutions at 51 trainings across North America.

What to expect:

  • We will review the history of sustainable development, the structure of the SDGs (17 goals, 169 targets, 231 indicators), and examples of each of the 17 SDGs implemented by various stakeholders.
  • You will have a chance to engage with Shannon O'Shea, UNICEF. This person will share how their agency or department underwent a transformation to implement the holistic SDGs in partnership with its communities.
  • We will review examples of SDGs implementation by young people across Canada and around the world.

This event is brought to you by Humber College's Community Outreach & Workforce Development Office and the Office of Sustainability in partnership with the Foundation for Environmental Stewardship. *This event is open to ALL current Humber or Guelph-Humber students.
