Humber Libraries offers services and resources to take learning to the next level. Whether you’re visiting for a study session, researching for an assignment, participating in a program or workshop, the library can be a significant part of your academic experience.
Check out these five resources that can take your learning further:
1. Idea Lab
The Idea Lab is designed to support digital literacy exploration and enables digital assignments at Humber. Located on the 3rd floor of the North Campus LRC building, the Idea Lab features audio and video studio spaces, 3D printers, workshops, and online resources. The Idea Lab is available to students, faculty, and staff at Humber and Guelph-Humber from Monday to Friday.
2. Self-Help for Citing Sources
Correctly citing sources is an important skill required for many assignments. The library website offers many resources to help students with APA and MLA style. Resources include tip sheets, web links, and self-help video tutorials including the APA in Minutes series.
3. Technology and Supplies
Did you know that the Library and Learning Commons offer technology and supply loans? Options include laptops, phone chargers, and whiteboard markers, depending on your location. To find out what’s available at your campus, check out the Laptops and Supplies page on the library website.
4. Research Help
There’s a lot of information out there – let the Library help you. Research Help Desk staff can support students and faculty with accessing and searching Humber’s research databases and collections. Visit the Research Help section of the library website or drop by in person for more.
5. A space to call your own
Group study rooms are available to current Humber and Guelph-Humber students and can be booked for up to two hours a day. Rooms can be reserved online and are a great place to collaborate and complete group projects.
