Rick Bonnette graduated from Humber’s Travel and Tourism program in 1978 and has been the Mayor of the town of Halton Hills since 2003. Following his studies at Humber, he opened his own travel agency with the support of his professors and their experience. A lifelong resident of Acton, at the age of 27 Rick was the youngest person ever elected to the Halton Hill Council. Rick was recognized by the province of Ontario in 2008 with the Long-Standing Service Award, and in 2012, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his dedicated service to Canada.
