There are many resources you can take advantage of to help prepare you for exam season here at Humber. Check out the list below for eight different services to help improve your final grades.

 

1. Calm and confident test-prep and test-taking

April 23, 2018 from 12:35 p.m. to 1:25 p.m. at North Campus in LRC 3058 and from 1:35 p.m. to 2:25 p.m. at Lakeshore Campus in WEL 207

Take the stress out of test-prep and test-taking and learn ways to become a calm and confident test taker. The workshops are 50 minutes in length and are free for all students to attend.

 

2. Chill, it’s all good! How to manage your stress

April 24, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. at North Campus (LRC 3058) and Lakeshore Campus (WEL 207)

Feeling stressed? Reflect on ways to manage your stress, build resiliency, and bounce back from setbacks. Workshops are 50 minutes in length and are free for all students.

 

3. Tips for multiple choice tests

April 25, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. to 11:35 a.m. at North Campus (LRC 3058) and Lakeshore Campus (WEL 207)

Learn some tips on prepping and taking multiple choice tests and exams. These workshops are 50 minutes in length and are free for all students.

 

4. Visit the Test Centre

Humber’s Test Centre supports students in performing their best and equipping them with the skills and services needed to achieve academic success.

Visit North Campus (LRC 2141) or Lakeshore Campus (WEL 207) from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday or Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for accommodated testing, external proctoring, testing rules and regulations and more.

 

5. Drop-by the Math Centre

The Math Centre is a drop-in centre offering FREE math help to all Humber and Guelph-Humber full-time and part-time students. No appointment is required. The Math Centre can help with all levels of mathematics courses and even courses with embedded math such as physics, nursing and even coding and chemistry.

 

6. Drop-by the Writing Centre

The Writing Centre can help students start and develop writing assignments, help build essay structures and thesis development, while also reviewing grammar and technical documents.

 

7. Drop-By the Accounting Centre

The Accounting Centre is a resource available to all students enrolled in accounting courses for Diploma, Degree, Certificate and part-time programs. The Centre provides assistance with textbook concepts, homework questions and an overall understanding of course material from semester one to six. The Centre is open Monday to Saturday.
