TORONTO, ONTARIO – Humber College’s Condominium Management Education program is now eligible for OSAP funding, making the career path accessible to more aspiring learners.
The program is accredited by the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) and includes five stackable micro-credentials that lead learners to receive their Condominium Management Certificate.
“This is good news for Ontario’s condominium management sector, which continues to expand rapidly. Humber College’s new certificate program provides learners aspiring to enter the condominium management profession with knowledge and real-world experience so they are well-prepared to support the growth in the province’s condominium industry,” said Ali Arlani, CEO and Registrar of the CMRAO.
OSAP funding will help support eligible leaners during their educational journey to become condominium managers or work in the condominium field.
"Through this initiative, the province is ensuring loans and grants will be available to more learners looking to rapidly upskill and reskill for the in-demand jobs of today and tomorrow," said Wanda Buote, dean of Education and Training Solutions, Humber College.
Humber College and the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) announced the college would develop and deliver the CMRAO's new education program for condominium managers in Ontario in April 2021.
In January, Humber launched its new Condominium Management Certificate Program accredited by the CMRAO. The part-time program was developed to train learners in condominium management law, relationship building, building operations and maintenance, condominium financials, operational quality of residential and commercial condominium management, legal, technical, ethical, and management understanding, a critical component of the CMRAO's continuous efforts to protect consumers in Ontario's growing condominium industry.
Since the program's official launch in November 2021, the Excellence in Condominium Management course has had more than 300 learners complete the program.
