With over 40 programs offered across a span of applied technology industries we are preparing our students for careers of the future. Academic theory blended with applied learning provides a strong educational foundation, while state-­of­-the­-art facilities, work placements, and apprenticeships provide experiential learning in the classroom, and in the industry. Our students graduate with the critical-thinking and hands-on skills that will launch their careers in traditional and emerging careers.

Humber College and VIA University College in Denmark have entered into an agreement to facilitate an educational opportunity from Humber's Architectural Technology Advanced Diploma to VIA's Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management.  

Successful graduates of Humber's Architectural Technology program are recognized for entry into Semesters 5-7 (1.5 academic years) of VIA's Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management (ATCM).  Students who can demonstrate that they have at least 20 weeks of practical placement can recieve merit for VIA ATCM 6th semester.  

Applications from Humber graduates must be received at VIA at least 3 months before commencement of the semester.

Additional Notes

Humber and Robert Gordon University (RGU) have entered into an agreement where graduates of Humber's Architectural Technology Advanced Diploma program may receive advanced entry into Year 3 of RGU's BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology program.  Applicants must:

  • have completed Humber's Architectural Technology program with a total of 90 credits
  • have acheived a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above
  • submit a suitable reference from a Humber faculty member
  • submit a portfolio of work
  • provide satisfactory evidence that the applicant meets the general English language requirements of the University (where the applicant's first language is not English)
  • have the requisite visa to enter the United Kingdom for study purposes.

Humber and Athabasca University have entered into an agreement that allows Architectural Technology diploma graduates the ability to progress directly into the Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) with advanced standing of 60 credits provided all other entrance criteria are met and space remains available.

Humber graduates of the Architectural Technology Advanced Diploma program may be eligible to apply to the Master of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University. Graduates will be granted a minimum of 71 tranfer credits/exclusion credits of the 168 credits required. A GPA of 3.0 is required for admission.   • an overall minimum GPA of 65%
  • two years of education in English in an English-speaking country with one of the following:
    • Grade 12 English (67%) or
    • 3.0 credits of postsecondary English, humanities or social sciences (67%) from a recognized institution
  • minimum of one year relevant non-cooperative education related technical work experience

BCIT accepts applications for the program year-round. The first step in the application process is completion of a pre-entry assessment conducted by BCIT's program administrator to review the technical work experience requirement.

Consistent with all other BEd programs at York, the Technological Education option requires completion of 60 credits offered in two consecutive Fall/Winter sessions in addition to the requirements of the student’s program at the sending institution.

Humber and Seneca Colleges have entered into an agreement that increases student opportunities for degree completion at both institutions.  Humber graduates may transfer into Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with entry into Semester 4, Year 2 of the program.

Students who complete a 2 year diploma at Humber will be granted 60 credit hours toward the completion of a bachelor degree program at Davenport University. You will need to complete a minimum of 60 credit hours (approximately two years of full-time attendance) to meet residency and program requirements and to complete your bachelor degree program. Students must complete a minimum total of 120 semester credit hours to earn a bachelor degree. The total credit hours will include the completed 2 year diploma classes plus any courses completed through Davenport University.

  1. Successfully completed the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate in (A) Information Technology Solutions, (B) Wireless Telecommunications, (C) Web Development, (D) Enterprise Software Development, or (E) User Experience (UX) Design;
  2. Successful completion of an approved research methods course from Humber; and,
  3. Achievement of the NZQA minimum English proficiency standards for a degree program by completing any Ontario Graduate Certificate.

To complete the EIT Master of Information Technology, graduates of the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate require 75 credits at NZQF Levels 8 and 9 with a minimum of 45 credits at NZQF Level 9.

The EIT Master of Information Technology is a semester-based program with two semesters per year; each semester consists of seventeen teaching weeks and a semester break.

All Humber graduates articulating through this pathway will be provided with academic guidance by the EIT Master of Information Technology Programme Coordinator in regards to EIT’s supervision capability at the time of student application.

Students who complete a 2 year diploma at Humber will be granted 60 credit hours toward the completion of a bachelor degree program at Davenport University. You will need to complete a minimum of 60 credit hours (approximately two years of full-time attendance) to meet residency and program requirements and to complete your bachelor degree program. Students must complete a minimum total of 120 semester credit hours to earn a bachelor degree. The total credit hours will include the completed 2 year diploma classes plus any courses completed through Davenport University.

Humber students who have successfully completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in any field at Humber College and meet the requirements, will be considered for admission into the University of Gloucestershire's Bachelor of Law LLB program.

Humber and Seneca Colleges have entered into an agreement that increases student opportunities for degree completion at both institutions.  Humber graduates may transfer into Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with entry into Semester 5, Year 3 of the program.    

Admissions:

All applicants to Seneca degree programs are required to have successfully completed the related Humber program with a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (70%).

All applicants may apply through the Ontario College Application Service and must submit an official academic transcript for all course work completed at the postsecondary level.  The application must be received no later than the stated deadline for the given term being applied for in order to qualify for admission.

Master of Information Technology (Eastern Institute of Technology)

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate at Humber College who meet the following criteria will be eligible to enter into the final 75 credits of the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) Master of Information Technology (180 credits) in New Zealand:

  1. Successfully completed the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate in (A) Information Technology Solutions, (B) Wireless Telecommunications, (C) Web Development, (D) Enterprise Software Development, or (E) User Experience (UX) Design;
  2. Successful completion of an approved research methods course from Humber; and,
  3. Achievement of the NZQA minimum English proficiency standards for a degree program by completing any Ontario Graduate Certificate.

To complete the EIT Master of Information Technology, graduates of the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate require 75 credits at NZQF Levels 8 and 9 with a minimum of 45 credits at NZQF Level 9.

The EIT Master of Information Technology is a semester-based program with two semesters per year; each semester consists of seventeen teaching weeks and a semester break.

All Humber graduates articulating through this pathway will be provided with academic guidance by the EIT Master of Information Technology Programme Coordinator in regards to EIT’s supervision capability at the time of student application.

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate from Humber College who enroll at EIT will enroll as international students and will have the rights and obligations of international students.
