Humber and Seneca Colleges have entered into an agreement that increases student opportunities for degree completion at both institutions.  Humber graduates may transfer into Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with entry into Semester 4, Year 2 of the program.    

Admissions:

All applicants to Seneca degree programs are required to have successfully completed the related Humber program with a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (70%).

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Early Childhood Studies (University of Gloucestershire)

Additional Notes

Humber College and the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) have entered into an agreement to facilitate transfer from Humber's Early Childhood Education Diploma program to Level 5 of UoG's BA (Honours) Early Childhood Studies.

International students should demonstrate and must provide evidence that they have attained a level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in writing. Alternative acceptable English Language qualifications can be found at: www.glos.ac.uk/study/international

Students will be expected to attend an Academic Induction preceding entry to the program. Students admitted to the UoG program will pay the appropriate annual tuition fee rate. The definitive fees will be those published here: http://www.glos.ac.uk/international

Students admitted to UoG from Humber will be eligible to receive the international bursary. This award, and its ruling terms and conditions, is subject to change on an annual basis. For September 2020/January 2021 entry, the applicable bursary is £3,000, and will be automatically applied against tuition for successful applicants from Humber. Please note that the bursary is only available to students who are studying full-time at the UoG on campus in the UK, and completing a full degree (not available for distance learning or master's stage students).

Humber graduates of the Early Childhood Education Diploma program will be eligible to apply for the BSc (Honours) in Early Childhood Care - Health and Education at Letterkenny Institute of Technology in Ireland. Students will be able to complete the program in 2 academic years. The academic year operates September to June. Therefore, the end-to-end period of study for students who pass all their examinations at Letterkenny would be approximately 20 months including 12 weeks of summer vacation covering June 20 to September 1 each year.

Graduates of Humber's Early Childhood Education Diploma program are eligible to enter Year 3 of the Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care and Education at the Institute of Technology Tralee in Ireland.  Graduates of the BA in Early Childhood Care and Education, with a minimum grade average of 50% are then eligible to apply for entry to Year 4 of the BA (Honours) in Early Childhood Care and Education (one year add-on).

To be eligible for consideration for entry, applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 60% on graduation from the Humber program.

Note:

  • As the first semester of Year 3 is work experience-based, students transferring from Humber must identify their preferred area of work experience (working with pre-school children or working with early-school years children) by June 1st of their intended year of registration.  IT Tralee will then organize the placement.
  • Garda (Police) clearance in the Republic of Ireland is necessary for registration on any stage of this program.  The student's application for clearance will be made on completion of registration with IT Tralee.  The college will guide the application.  Students should provide documentary evidence of Clearance from any other police authority where applicable.

IT Tralee offers Humber students a special package which includes tuition for two semesters, accommodation for the academic year, emergency medical insurance, and pick up at airport on first arrival.  For 2019 intake this package costs €10,650 but is subject to change from year-to-year.

Master Of Science (M.S.) in Exercise Science and Health Promotion - Online (California University of Pennsylvania)

Humber and the California University of Pennsylvania (CALU) have entered into an agreement in which successful graduates of the Wellness Coaching, and Exercise Science and Lifestyle Promotion Graduate Certificates will be granted 12 transfer credits out of a total 36 credits required towards CALU’s 100% online Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a number of concentrations: 

Students accepted into the Masters program may expect to complete the program in less than one year full time. The program can also be completed part time in 18 months.    A proportional tuition discount is available along with financial awards and scholarships.  This program is OSAP eligible. 

In addition to successful graduation from the specified Humber programs, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (80%).  Students with a GPA below 3.0 (80%) may be considered for conditional admission.

Master of Health Science (Eastern Institute of Technology)

Additional Notes

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate from Humber College who meet the following criteria will be eligible to enter into the final 75 credits of the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) Master of Health Science (180 credits) in New Zealand:

  1. Successful completion of the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate in (A) Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management, (B) Systems Navigator, or (C) Addictions and Mental Health;
  2. Successful completion of an approved research methods course from Humber; and,
  3. Achievement of the NZQA minimum English proficiency standards for a degree program by completing any Ontario Graduate Certificate.

To complete the EIT Master of Health Science, graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate require 75 credits at NZQF Levels 8 and 9 with a minimum of 45 credits at NZQF Level 9.

All Humber graduates articulating through this pathway will be provided with academic guidance by the EIT Master of Health Science Programme Coordinator in regards to EIT’s facility and supervision capability at the time of student application.

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate from Humber College who enroll at EIT will enroll as international students and will have the rights and obligations of international students.

  • have acheived a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above
  • submit a suitable reference from a Humber faculty member
  • successfully complete a selection interview to demonstrate their suitability for the program
  • provide satisfactory evidence that the applicant meets the general English language requirements of the University (where the applicant's first language is not English)
  • have the requisite visa to enter the United Kingdom for study purposes

Graduates of Humber's Massage Therapy Advanced Diploma program are eligible to enter Year 4 of the Bachelor of Science in Health and Leisure (with Massage) at the Institute of Technology Tralee in Ireland.  Students will complete this program in two semesters.

To be eligible for consideration for entry, applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 60% upon graduation from the Humber program.  

Note:

  • Garda (Police) clearance in the Republic of Ireland is necessary for registration on any stage of this program.  The student's application for clearance will be made on completion of registration with IT Tralee.  The college will guide the application.  Students should provide documentary evidence of Clearance from any other police authority where applicable.

IT Tralee offers Humber students a special package which includes tuition for two semesters, accommodation for the academic year, emergency medical insurance, and pick up at airport on first arrival.  For 2019 intake this package costs €10,650 but is subject to change from year-to-year.

Graduates of any two-year diploma program at Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, who have attained a cumulative grade point average of 70% or greater will be eligible to enter year three of the four-year Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John. 

Depending on the diploma program, students may be exempted from study in certain courses and therefore, requested to take alternate courses offered by the Faculty of Business.

Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Seneca College)

Additional Notes

Humber and Seneca Colleges have entered into an agreement that increases student opportunities for degree completion at both institutions.  Humber graduates may transfer into Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with entry into Semester 4, Year 2 of the program.    

Admissions:

All applicants to Seneca degree programs are required to have successfully completed the related Humber program with a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (70%).

All applicants may apply through the Ontario College Application Service and must submit an official academic transcript for all course work completed at the postsecondary level.  The application must be received no later than the stated deadline for the given term being applied for in order to qualify for admission.

Master of Health Science (Eastern Institute of Technology)

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate from Humber College who meet the following criteria will be eligible to enter into the final 75 credits of the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) Master of Health Science (180 credits) in New Zealand:

  1. Successful completion of the Humber Ontario Graduate Certificate in (A) Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management, (B) Systems Navigator, or (C) Addictions and Mental Health;
  2. Successful completion of an approved research methods course from Humber; and,
  3. Achievement of the NZQA minimum English proficiency standards for a degree program by completing any Ontario Graduate Certificate.

To complete the EIT Master of Health Science, graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate require 75 credits at NZQF Levels 8 and 9 with a minimum of 45 credits at NZQF Level 9.

All Humber graduates articulating through this pathway will be provided with academic guidance by the EIT Master of Health Science Programme Coordinator in regards to EIT’s facility and supervision capability at the time of student application.

Graduates of the Ontario Graduate Certificate from Humber College who enroll at EIT will enroll as international students and will have the rights and obligations of international students.

Master of Science in Health and Wellness Coaching (Creighton University)

Additional Notes

Humber and Creighton University have entered into an agreement where graduates of the Wellness Coaching Graduate Certificate can receive 12 credits towards Creighton's Master of Science, Health and Wellness Coaching.  Students may then graduate upon the completion of the remaining 24 credits required.  Admission requirements:

  • applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 in all graduate-level coursework.  At Humber, the equivalent is a minimum of 80%.
  • grades earned in all courses from Humber must be 80% or better
  • students must present original and complete educational credentials, including a certified translation of all university transcripts (if in a language other than English) from a recognized credential evaluation service, such as the World Education Services
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation/evaulation by persons familar with the student's academic background, potential, achievements and personal qualities.  An applicant's original letter of recommendation for admission to Humber may be used as one of the required letters.

Master Of Science (M.S.) in Exercise Science and Health Promotion - Online (California University of Pennsylvania)

Humber and the California University of Pennsylvania (CALU) have entered into an agreement in which successful graduates of the Wellness Coaching, and Exercise Science and Lifestyle Promotion Graduate Certificates will be granted 12 transfer credits out of a total 36 credits required towards CALU’s 100% online Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a number of concentrations: 

Students accepted into the Masters program may expect to complete the program in less than one year full time. The program can also be completed part time in 18 months.    A proportional tuition discount is available along with financial awards and scholarships.  This program is OSAP eligible. 

In addition to successful graduation from the specified Humber programs, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (80%).  Students with a GPA below 3.0 (80%) may be considered for conditional admission.
