Diploma to Degree Program at Woodsworth College, University of Toronto

Students enrolled in the General Arts & Science program are eligible to apply for the Diploma to Degree program at Woodsworth College, a pathway program which enables successful applicants to transfer into degree studies within the Faculty of Arts and Science. Students enrol as non-degree students, typically during the summer session prior to entering their third semester at Humber College, to complete a qualifying course at U of T. Students who successfully complete their U of T qualifying course and Humber College diploma studies, and receive a recommendation from their Humber College program coordinator, can apply to transfer into degree studies at U of T with up to 5.5 transfer credits.  See list of Humber College General Arts & Science courses that are recognized for transfer credit.

Humber graduates of the General Arts and Science - University Transfer Diploma who have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 2.0 (60%) will be granted advanced standing into Year 3 (60 credits) of the Bachelor of Arts degree at VIU.

 Prior to completion of the GAS/UT Diploma, and subject to availability, Humber students may take no more than 3 courses at VIU (or 9 credits) as visiting students on a Letter of Permission. VIU credits are not eligible to be transferred back to VIU. In cases where a student has used VIU credits to complete the Humber GAS/UT Diploma the number of Advanced Standing credits awarded will be reduced accordingly. Humber GAS/UT graduates will be regarded as having satisfied VIU's Breadth Requirement and Degree English Requirements.

Business Bachelor of Business Administration (Davenport University)

Additional Notes

Students who complete a 2 year diploma at Humber will be granted 60 credit hours toward the completion of a bachelor degree program at Davenport University. You will need to complete a minimum of 60 credit hours (approximately two years of full-time attendance) to meet residency and program requirements and to complete your bachelor degree program. Students must complete a minimum total of 120 semester credit hours to earn a bachelor degree. The total credit hours will include the completed 2 year diploma classes plus any courses completed through Davenport University.

Law LLB (University of Gloucestershire)

Additional Notes

Humber students who have successfully completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in any field at Humber College and meet the requirements, will be considered for admission into the University of Gloucestershire's Bachelor of Law LLB program. 

International students should demonstrate and must provide evidence that they have attained a level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in writing. Alternative acceptable English Language qualifications can be found at: https://www.glos.ac.uk/international/

Students will be expected to attend an Academic Induction preceding entry to the program. Students admitted to the UoG program will pay the appropriate annual tuition fee rate. The definitive fees will be those published here: https://www.glos.ac.uk/international/

Students admitted to UoG from Humber will be eligible to receive the international bursary. This award, and its ruling terms and conditions, is subject to change on an annual basis. For September 2020/January 2021 entry, the applicable bursary is £3,000, and will be automatically applied against tuition for successful applicants from Humber. Please note that the bursary is only available to students who are studying full-time at the UoG on campus in the UK, and completing a full degree (not available for distance learning or master's stage students).

Bachelor of Applied Management (University of New Brunswick)

Graduates of any two-year diploma program at Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, who have attained a cumulative grade point average of 70% or greater will be eligible to enter year three of the four-year Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John. 

Depending on the diploma program, students may be exempted from study in certain courses and therefore, requested to take alternate courses offered by the Faculty of Business.

Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (Seneca College)

Additional Notes

Humber and Seneca Colleges have entered into an agreement that increases student opportunities for degree completion at both institutions.  Humber graduates may transfer into Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with entry into Semester 4, Year 2 of the program.    

Admissions:

All applicants to Seneca degree programs are required to have successfully completed the related Humber program with a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (70%).

All applicants may apply through the Ontario College Application Service and must submit an official academic transcript for all course work completed at the postsecondary level.  The application must be received no later than the stated deadline for the given term being applied for in order to qualify for admission.

Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (Queen's University)

Additional Notes

Upon successful completion of the Humber Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program (valid only for those applicants who have entered the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diploma and Degrees as of September 2017), with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (73%) (as determined by Queen's University), students will be entitled to receive block transfer credits towards the BHSc (Hons or General) program, provided that all biology and chemistry courses within the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway were completed with a minimum grade of C (63%) or higher on the first attempt (unless documented extenuating circumstances required a course repeat).  Once in the BHSc program, students will be required to take an additional 108.0 units of courses to complete the BHSc (Hons) degree or an additional 78.0 units to complete the BHSc (General) degree. Master of Arts (MA) Creative and Critical Writing (distance) (University of Gloucestershire)

Additional Notes

Humber College and the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) have entered into an agreement to facilitate transfer from Humber's Professional Writing and Communications graduate certificate program to UoG's MA in Creative and Critical Writing (via distance learning). Students from Humber who have successfully completed the graduate certificate in Professional Writing and Communications, in addition to completing a first degree (bachelors) or equivalent, will receive credit for two-thirds of the MA, leaving just the final dissertation module to be completed.

Master of Business Administration (University of the Incarnate Word)

Additional Notes

Humber and the University of Incarnate Word (UIW) have entered into an agreement to facilitate the transfer of students from the Research Analyst Graduate Certificate for a block transfer of six (6) credit hours into UIW's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.  Students will be required to complete 24 credits to earn the degree.  

Applicants will be considered for acceptance into the MBA based on requirements as set forth in the UIW Graduate Bulletin for international students including:

  • successful completion of the Research Analyst program; 
  • submission of an official Humber transcript;
  • submission of proof of completion of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university.  (Students who do not hold a Bachelor of Business degree may be required to complete the Common Professional Components of Accounting for non-Business majors, Microeconomics and Statistics during their first semester.  These courseare are at the undergraduate level and are in addition to the MBA course requirements.)

Professional Master of Applied Computer Engineering, sub-specialization in Data Science (Algebra University College)

Humber and Algebra University College in Croatia have entered into an agreement that allows Research Analyst graduates the ability to progress directly into the Professional Master of Applied Computer Engineering, sub-specialization in Data Science with reduced course requirements and discounted tuition provided all other entrance criteria are met and space remains available in the program. This Masters program, taught in English, can be completed in less than 4 semesters, since 7 obligatory and 4 elective courses can be fully recognized.

Student takes all electives recognized by Algebra (maximum credits recognized is 51 ECTS, 36 ECTS at year 1 + 15 ECTS at year 2)

TOTAL TUITION: 6,325 EUR (regular tuition 11,000 EUR)

Master of Science (MSc) in Education - TESOL (Niagara University)

Additional Notes

Niagara University’s Master of Science in Education degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages  requires a total of 39 graduate credit hours, including a supervised practicum and a culminating portfolio assessment (program-level assessment). Students who have graduated from Humber with a Teaching English as a Second Language (“TESL”) Certificate (post-baccalaureate), with an overall average of B (or GPA 75%) will be eligible to apply for admission into this Program.  It is noted that admission to Humber’s TESL program requires the completion of a baccalaureate degree as well as approved College scores on language proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS).   Degree students enrolled in the TESL program at Humber may apply for the Program at Niagara University during their second semester of study. At the start of Semester 2 at Humber, provided qualifications for admission are met, students would be allowed dual admission into the Program.
