Accounting, Business Administration (02111)

After successful completion of a three year Humber Advanced Diploma, Business Administration, Accounting, students will have approximately one academic year's worth of coursework to complete Northwood University's BBA - Accounting program. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 31 NU semester credit hours for the BBA.

After successful completion of the BBA program, students can apply for an accelerated MBA program or the twenty-four (24) month MBA program offered by Northwood University.

Admission Requirement

Students wishing to apply to the NU degree program must meet all admission requirements of Northwood University prior to entering the NU program or students need to successfully complete the Humber program. The student must formally apply to Northwood University.

Admission requirements:

  • Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (74-76%) or above on a US 4.0 scale, or the equivalent for regular admission. Official transcripts must be submitted in English or the original official transcript must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Transfer credit for other prior university coursework (as listed on an official transcript with a grade of C or better ((74-76%) may be accepted as fulfilling part of an articulation agreement.
  • International students must submit TOEFL scores or IELTS scores or other evidence of English proficiency for regular admission unless they have validation from US high schools or International schools where they conducted all coursework in English. Scores must be submitted on an original official score sheet issued by the TOEFL or IELTS testing centre. 

Admission to the academic programs listed is at the sole discretion of the partner post-secondary institution.

Humber and Northwood University have partnered to create educational opportunities and pathways for Humber students.  Students who possess a Bachelor's degree and who have successfully completed one of Humber's designated Graduate Certificate programs will be able to transfer up to fifteen (15) credits towards Northwood's Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) degree.  

Northwood will accept as transfer credits all qualifying coursework within the conpleted Humber Graduate Certificate program that meets the requirements as evidenced by an official (original) institutional transcript certifying completion of the Humber program.  

Admission Requirement

When students decide to apply for the MSOL program (face to face delivery mode only), Northwood will issue the F-1 visa (student visa).  After students successfully complete the program in the USA, they will be eligible for up to 12 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT).
